BlueAnt V1x Bluetooth headset review
Reviewed by Gary Mazo
The BlueAnt V1x is a moderately priced "basic" headset with a few tricks up its sleeve.

The BlueAnt V1x works well, for the most part, but not as well as the BlueAnt Q2 which is just a little more expensive. Since most Android phones have good built in Voice command, the voice features on this headset are sort of a novelty. With Voice control off, this was a simple to use and efficient Bluetooth headset.

Star Star Star Star Star Doesnt work
User: Bernie M, Dec 13, 2009
Pros: Great with my Voyager phone
Cons: Doesnt work with my Droid
My Sony Ericsson was getting a little old and my daughter asked what to get me for my birthday. I asked for an updated Bluetooth device. She bought me the BlueAnt. It worked OK with my Voyager phone but not as good as the Ericsson. The Ericsson would allow me to ask for specific number from my contact list (eg - call Jodi cell phone) and the BlueAnt would not allow me to be that specific. Ive since replaced the Voyager with a DROID. Love the phone except that I cant get it to make any calls on my BlueAnt. I ask for a specific number and it gets me a different one.
Star Star Star Star Star V1 not compatible with Motorola Droid
User: John S, Jan 23, 2010
Pros: Works well when it works
Cons: Only works about half the time
There is a major problem between the V1 and the Motorola Droid. I purchased the V1 based upon a recommendation by the Verizon dealer as to its alleged compatibility with the Droid.

The V1 will put out loud static intermittently when a phone call comes in or when making a call. Frequently, the V1 will lock up with the noise and require that the Bluetooth in the Droid be turned off. Occassionally, the V1 will lock up completely and will not respond to any type of input. In that case, you have to plug it into a charger to unlock it.

Calls to Blue Ant blame the Droid for the static. Customer service is quick to make these issues yours rather than theirs. I had note of these problems with my old Jawbone that finally bit the dust.

Stay away - very far away - from the V1 if you own a Droid.
