great light duty case | ||||

Anyone considering purchasing this case needs to understand it is not a heavy duty protective case. To me the drawback with the more protective cases is they enclose the screen and you cant operate the phone controls without removing the phone from the holster. So buying this case is a compromise between the protection it offers vs. the functionality of the phone. The case is very well finished inside and outside, fits the phone perfectly and is stylish. I like the tactile grip the case provides and use the belt clip as a handle. I had a very similar case on my previous phone and it is important to know that the belt clip can easily detach itself from the case when standing up from a seated position especially when exiting a vehicle. I always attach my phone to my belt after Im standing next to my car otherwise if the clip has become detached the phone can easily drop to the ground. If youre looking for maximum protection if the phone is dropped this isnt a good choice although Im sure it provides more protection than no case. On the other hand if you want the ability to clip the phone to your belt, still be able to use all of the features and prop it up on your desk I highly recommend this case. I also think the slim profile will allow the phone to be mounted in an Akron car mount by easily removing the belt clip. Ill know for sure shortly. |

I bought this case for my husband when we got our new Captivates. He wanted a simple case like this that he didnt have to open each time his phone rang. As soon as I tried to put it on his phone I noticed the two pieces didnt seem to snap together right. He couldnt get it to stay together, either. He dropped his phone several times before he decided to stop trying to use this case. Later, while buying Aux cables to plug our phones into our car stereo inputs, a different sales person told me he actually wont sell this case to a customer because they dont seem to work correctly. He told me he only knows one person who could get this case to stay on their phone. Save your money and buy a case that will actually help protect your phone, not one that will cause you to drop it on the ground repetedly. I would give this case zero stars if I could. |
