Android iBOLT xProDock for HTC

Product Description

Drive Safe and Legal by keeping most Android phones in a secure and easy to view position while driving with the compact sized and stylish xProDock.

Thanks to the unique design with a spring loaded latch and expandable feet, both covered with soft rubber, virtually any case can be used, including the Otterbox Defender or Ballistic type.

Insert the phone with a smooth 1-hand motion, attach the integrated microUSB charging port located on the side and your HTC phone is ready to use. Switch between landscape and vertical position by simply turning Dock.

The included 9 ft (2.7 meter) charging cable plugs the microUSB slot in back of the Dock. This long cord allows the iBOLT Dock to be placed on the left hand side of the steering wheel, where it is easy to reach and not blocking the view. This is also a legal position in the state of California. The USB side of the cable plugs into the vehicle's USB port for continues battery charging, or use a 12 volt USB equipped car charger (not included, sold separately).

Your HTC phone will will automatically switch to the car mode when attached to the Dock. All icons turns sideways (horizontal) and the excellent (pre-loaded) HTC car-dock app will start automatically. Any after-market "car-dock" app, type CarHome Ultra can also be installed and replace the HTC app as default car-dock app if desired.

The iBOLT Dock can also function as a "dash cam". With an open back the video camera can be used for recording HD video while driving. With the vibration free "ROK" suction mount the video recorded will be stable and virtually vibration free.

The female ball connector is an “industry standard” 17 mm size, allowing any dash, vent or bike mounting solution designed for Garmin to work with the iBOLT Dock as an alternative to the included suction mount. An AMPS plate adapter can be ordered for anyone preferring a mounting solution from companies like KUDA, ProClip etc.

Features:

  • Keep your phone charged and in an easy to view position
  • Automatically starts the car mode in any HTC phone
  • All icons turns sideways, even on home screens
  • 9ft USB & Aux-out cable for left side of the steering wheel placement
  • Works with virtually all cases, including Otterbox Defender

Star Star Star Star Star Nice design
User: Mike Henderson, Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Fits lager phones-good long USB umbilical cable (6ft - 1.8M)
Cons: Quite a large footprint (Not really a prob on modern dashes)
The unit works very well. It feels well made. It has plenty of mounting options. I notice one reviewer questions the build quality of the unit but so far Ive not experienced that problem. If you have a big phone I think this dock will be ideal for you. I like the camera mount functionality too.
Star Star Star Star Star Love it so far
User: Charlie Smith, Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Doesn
Cons: mine only came with 6
So far so good. Now it is easier to keep my phone charged while I drive to and from work. Very small footprint and fits just fine in lower left corner of windscreen. Any other spot blocks too much of my view. Cord was shorter than advertised but still had extra left over when plugged in. Glad it didn\'t have the full 9\' or I would have had way too much left over. Will update if I have any problems with the clip breaking, only have had a week.
Star Star Star Star Star Great, while it lasted (One Month)
User: William Moore, Aug 29, 2013
Pros: It will take a phone with a case on.
Cons: It broke one month after I bought it.
The overhead clamp relies upon two heavy springs connected to two thin pieces of plastic. These springs will bring enough tension that the plastic will break, and then the dock will be completely useless. Total POS. Worst accessory I\'ve ever bought. Don\'t buy this.
