This product is the same in all ways as the one that would be used to cover a standard battery, however there is a gaping hole where the battery is because it extends past the flush exterior of the phone.
Part of the draw for this product (for me) is the slide resistance it offers. Without the protection on the battery, this renders that option virtually useless.
