Great for kayaking. Also great for tough work environments. Survived a week of commercial painting with no problems.

A great waterproof case

While the Overboard Case isnt exactly what I was hoping it would be I think its still a decent case and serves a good purpose. Im using the case with my DroidX and I wasnt quite sure of the construction when I purchased it. I was hoping for neoprene for some impact resistance, but its actually a thin vinyl instead. Its not designed to be a day-to-day case but more to provide special protection while in wet (or potentially wet) conditions.

It supposedly is completely waterproof to shallow depths and floats with most phones, needless to say Im not anxious to test this out myself just yet but it does work well in the rain. It also may be great for shower time (whether you try to use it there or just dont want to leave it in the gym locker room) or in the pool - but remember that temperature and chlorine do bad things to rubber.

The case is clear front and back. The camera on the X is completely unobstructed and the screen is pretty much completely visible and useable, however the physical buttons are all hidden so make sure youve memorized the button location. The top lock/power button is a tad hard to get to (but far from impossible) as the plastic sealing bar at the top blocks it.
