Simply place your Samsung Epic 4G in the Multimedia Desktop Charger and charge the device while you’re checking your calendar, making a call, or watching videos in landscape mode.

The Multimedia Desktop Charger also features a 3.5mm port and Micro-USB port on the back of the dock for audio output to external speakers, and to charge most Android phones via USB cable or wall plug.

Please Note: The 3.5mm audio out port will only work when the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update is installed onto your device. Any versions lower than Android 2.2 will not allow the audio out port to work.

Pros:	the non-skid base
Cons:	everything else

The base sounded like a great idea.until I bought it and plugged it in. Real smart to put the volume button on bottom, as soon as I put my phone in the base it muted. I dont care how careful I am in putting my phone into the base, it mutes my phone. Now I have a very expensive charger that just sits empty. Well not totally true, the dust likes to use my base.

No sound

Pros:	charges good
Cons:	headphone jack in back does not work

I have froyo on my phone and the port still does not work like it is supposed to.

I cant use it for multi-media, and it turns the sound off or down everytime I insert the phone into the charger.

Mediocre Dock

Pros:	easy to use as charger, and nice landscape clock position
Cons:	no multimedia, and turns volume off too easily

I bought 2 with my phone, one for work, one for bedside. they do work as chargers, and do hold phone nicely to use as a digital clock.

However, the "genius" who designed it didnt consider that it turns the phone volume off about half the time, so you dont here the phone ring, which kind of compromises the PHONE function.

Also, even with Froyo (AndroidOS 2.2) on my phone, the USB-to-audio multimedia pass-through isnt functional. Drat.
