HTC ThunderBolt case review: Seidio CONVERT Combo

The CONVERT Combo is a beast, providing three layers of maximum protection. Underneath it all is Seidio's classic Innocase II, which fits the Thunderbolt like a glove with minimal bulk. It's made of sturdy plastic with a nice soft finish that feels great in the hand. Its two halves snap together to lock in, so you don't have to worry about it flying off when your phone hits the ground.

If you're offended by chubby phones, or if you're a skinny jeans afficianado, look elsewhere. And I do wish the kickstand wasn't so darn hard to reach under all three layers. You'll need something to pry it open, simple as that. But if you need maxiumum protection and are a commitment-phobe like myself, you're going to be happy with the CONVERT Combo. Hard, soft, who cares? Now you've got both.

Pros:	Tough protection for your phone
Cons:	Little hard to get to the ports, not a big deal after all.

Smooth and tough. Good choice that make you fall in love again with your phone. Superb protection all the way to the core. If you are comfortable with the thunderbolt phone and like to wait a bit more for new and better technology with significative improvements to change your phone, you cant be wrong buying this product.

Protected my phone from a 18foot drop

Love this combo! I work in construction and was on top of a crane fixing a light and the phone fell out of my hand and dropped almost 18 ft to the ground . After my initial shock cause I thought I had to buy a new phone I climbed down and see there was nothing wrong with the phone.there was a slight crack on the skeleton backing but it protected the phone and no screen cracks. Best protection I ever had for a cell phone. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking to protect there phone. I personally like the phone with all the layers of protection on it . It makes the phone look like a swat team soldier lol.

Pros:	Protection, stylish, easily removable
Cons:	difficult to get to the kickstand, charge port flap needs to be a bit more snug

All around the best case out there right now. Protecting this wonderful phone should be you absolute #1 priority. This case accomplishes just that. Yes it makes tthe phone much larger but in my personal opinion it is absolutely worth it. For those days that you want it to be sleeker just remove the first two sections leaving you with the slid on part. Plenty of protection with that and pretty much the same size as the phone. Must buy if you love your phone.

No-nonsense Device Protection A No Brainer

having had some crappy device cases over the years, Ive become very particular about these sorts of things, especially given that most, even the crappy ones, are no small investement

I used to use ZAGGs Invisible Shield products, but for my latest device, I wanted a well fitting, durable and practical real deal case that would offer some real protection. this case system is all of those things.

I usually carry my phone in my pocket, so I was concerned that this one might be too big and bulky, or that the soft skin portion would stick and grab. also, in one of the photos, it looks like the skin partially covers the ear speaker, so I was wondering whether it would affect the ability to hear properly. I didnt have any issues with any of those things. the case, or cases, I should say, fit perfectly. the device, even fully armored, which is how I use it pretty much all the time, still slides easily in and out of my pockets, the skin doesnt come close to the ear speaker, and its not as bulky as I expected.

its slick, but not slippery, and the finger grips make it super comfy to handle. the port covers are well engineered and placed, and I feel like the buttons work more comfortably with the skin in place. I found it a bit awkward to use the buttons with previous device cases, which had cutouts for the buttons. the cases were too thick, really. not so with the included Surface shell. really, this kit offers all the options was was seeking.

also, the screen protector that comes with it -- very nice that its a dry apply type and works by static cling, not adhesive. I was used to the ZAGG invisible shield system. I liked them, but a bit of a hassle. when I applied the SEIDIO screen protector, Id gotten a small speck of dust beneath. it was no biggie. I just lifted it with a piece of tape as recommended and tried again, though I did wash the screen protector with some mild dish soap and water, and air dusted both the device and screen protector prior to second application. second application was flawless, and Im really enjoying the device just that much more knowing that its well protected AND, lets face it, it just looks friggin cool.

for future design, I wouldnt mind seeing a single skeleton finger around the top and bottom for this model, just to keep the skin that much more secure. I do noticed that it catches slightly sometimes coming out of the pocket.

super impressed with this system and am recommending them to all my users and friends. wish I stumbled onto androidcentral and SEIDIO ages ago.

I just could not wait for otterbox to get their act together and put out a case that would protect phone. This case is sold build and protects phone very well. Best money Ive spent on a case. The 3 layer protection is easy to put on and does not really weigh down phone much.
