Seidio Convert Extended Combo case review - bulk meets battery

The Seidio Convert Extended Combo case is a mammoth of a case with plenty of room for an extended battery and comes with a custom-made clip holster. The construction is as rugged as you could reasonably hope for from a smartphone case: first there is a hard plastic core, then a silicon skin wrapping around it, then, of all things another hard case along the outside. The whole package also comes with a screen protector and a lockable holster, making it an exceptionally rugged package all around.

The Seidio Combo case is an excellent choice for Android users that mean serious business. The butt-ton of battery life afforded by the extended battery cavity is a great supplement for the obscene amount of protection the case offers. Of course, this is one of those "in for a penny, in for a pound" situations; this case is only really worthwhile if you already have the extended battery, and if you don't, then it's an awful lot of kit to catch up on.

Definite worth protecting my phone!

Pros:	Tough protection, total protection, placing on phone as simple & easy
Cons:	have to make sure it attaches properly to holster or it can fall out.

I received this in Thursdays mail along with my new extended Seidio 3800mAh battery with NFC capability. Affixed the new case (soft cover, exoskeleton, hard cover) and used it for the first time yesterday on a work day. I totally enjoy this product!

My phone fell several times due to the negative part of this product I mentioned above. If you do not take the proper time to ensure the phone is properly snapped in the "locking" mechanism on the holster will not properly snap on. This was more my fault than the product itself. I say this because I work for a University Security Department. The only time I had a hard time getting the phone to properly snap in were the first two times after I placed the holster on my duty/utility belt. With all the other gear on my body and movement required on my job I did not take the time to ensure everything was properly attached. After the 2nd time I saw what I was doing wrong and this became a non-issue. Also, in my civvie clothes this was never an issue.

It took a little getting used to the new size of my phone. It does add some bulk but totally necessary due to the new extended battery. I dropped my phone twice due to this & so I can say that this CONVERT cover has made a believer and convert out of me - it has already earned the price I paid for it back and then some.
