Best desk dock. | ||||

I use this on my nightstand next to my bed to ensure that my phone is juiced up and ready for the day. Also, I use my phone as an alarm clock so that helps for that as well. Overall I am very happy with this one. It is heavier than I expected, none of that cheap plastic stuff that slides across a desk when you try to snatch the phone up off of the dock. This is very easy to get docked, or undock with a thin case, and would probably still work with a thicker case but I have NOT tested that. The connector will last longer than others because they use a weird spring hinge deal to keep the connector itself from flexing, because instead of flexing, it angles. This is actually very important as it allows more case compatibility and durability as the connector doesnt get as much strain. If you have the HTC EVO LTE, and want a desk dock, dont cheap out. Get this one. |

Very solid, weighty hunk of dock. The MicroSD plug to the phone is on a hinged mechanism, which allows the phone to sit in the cradle properly, with or without a case, and without the need for an annoying spacer to be added or removed. Looks like it can handle cases of almost any imaginable thickness, even the bulkier Otterbox cases. While on the AC forums a Seidio rep said that this would not make a phone go into a proper landscape/alarm clock mode, that seems to only be true for the stock clock. Using Digital Alarm Clock Free (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andronicus.ledclock), I have no problems with this and it goes into AlarmClock mode automatically every time.
