Star Star Star Star Star GREAT battery
User: Ed S, May 31, 2012
Pros: Long life
Cons: -
This battery has an AMAZING life before requiring a charge. It just goes and goes.

Re. the negative reviews on the rear cover. It is no more or less "brittle" than the OEM cover. Both have plastic tabs and both can be easily broken IF YOU ARE CARELESS or force installation of the cover.

If you carefully and properly install and remove the cover you will not have a problem.

Cons: none yet
Purchased to make sure my phone could last a whole day in case I was not able to plug in at work or in car. So far this battery has been great. I am 5 days in and after 9 hours battery is only down to 77 remaining. By now traditionally I would have had my phone on the charger at my office a couple of times. The extra bit for size has not been bothersome at all.

I would like to see a couple of other case options that fit the battery. (Not the batteries fault though)
Star Star Star Star Star Battery that did not quit for 14 hours from first day single charge
User: Felipe Vielmann, Jun 2, 2012
Pros: long lasting, eliminates fear of phone dying due to battery life at a crucial moment in your day
Cons: cant think of any right now.
I received this product with Thursday afternoons mail. Got it placed in my phone and put it all on my charger overnight for approximately 8 hrs.

Took it off the charger at 8 am and put my phone through the normal paces that I would that involved a full work day of use taking pictures, creating files, accessing internet, making & receiving calls, different social media outlets and more. Also spent time on personal use.

Normally, about 4 hrs later, so midday in this case, I would be putting the phone on the charger at work if I know I am going to be doing after work other than coming straight home. If not, I let it go and about 7 1/2 hours my phone is reading about 10 charge left and I know I better get it on a charger at the office or it will die and then I have to place it on the charger in my car for 20 minute trip home.

After the first and single charge from yesterday morning, I used my phone for approximately 2 hrs of media use while volunteering with our church audio visual crew, an 8 hr shift, & 4 hrs of personal use. At approximately 12:30 (14 1/2 hrs after taking my phone off the charger from charging the Seidio extended battery for the first time) my phone was reading 4 left before dying.

Allow me to say: totally impressed! I will update this review after our first trip to Disneyland with it. Normal usage time is approximately 4 hrs when we go, sometimes less, sometimes more depending. Ill let you know more later!

Also, allow me to address the con that Ive read on here about the flimsy back cover and tabs breaking easy. It is true BUT only if you are not paying attention to what you are doing when you are putting it on or constantly putting it on and taking it off. It is actually very much of the same quality as the OEM cover that comes with the original battery. RECOMMENDATION: get the battery on, place the back cover on carefully and then add a layer of protection with a second layer cover. I personally went with the Seidio CONVERT extended battery case cover and LOVE IT! I agree, wish there were more color options say for the exoskeleton of the CONVERT case but that is for a different review.
Star Star Star Star Star Should be standard with the Nexus
User: John Lang, Jul 17, 2012
Pros: use phone all day (16 to 18 hours)
Cons: makes phone a little bigger
Even with a 3800mAh battery on the Galaxy Nexus your
still only going to last about 16 or 18 hours before it starts to warn you about needing a recharge.
The Nexus is a cool phone but its truly a shame how much it eats battery. In the end the screen was not worth the horrid battery life this thing gets.
Thank goodness theres ebay.
I prefer a working phone rather than a phone that gets updated software depite not being able to get the last version working properly. Ill be switching to the Razr Maxx eventually.

Pros: Device is a good flotation device after install. Could use for wakeboarding.
Cons: Battery Life, NFC doesnt work, Seidio is just a bad company.
I purchased one of these on sale a few months ago from here at AC in hopes of extended my battery life to over a day, Id seen reports of people with 5-6 hours of screen on time before killing the battery. Im lucky to get two on 3G/4G or WiFi, I had an Innocell in my DROID Bionic, the 3500mAh and it was fantastic, even though the phone didnt read the battery level properly, I could easily get through two days on it. I cant make it past 24-28 hours on this battery no matter how I seem to use it. After I received it, I didnt use Wallet or anything for a while, come to find out a few weeks later the damn thing didnt work with NFC at all. I had a case on it so I figured maybe it was just interfering. nope. Even with the battery sitting directly on any number of NFC tags, absolutely no interaction, not with my Nexus 7 or Nexus S either.

I got hold of Seidio, they sent me a replacement to procure the lack of battery life and the non-functional NFC capability. The new one worked great for about 3 days, back to no NFC and battery life being crap for a "3800mAh" cell. They stopped responding to my emails and my calls to them always end up going to a voicemail service.

I wont be buying Seidio anymore. its just not worth the premium you pay for their junk.
