| The case works very well and the top flap does not accidentally push the power on/screen lock button like my previous case. The fit is slightly tight when using the Seidio Innocase. I dont know if that is due to the slightly increase in dimensions or the surface texture of the Seidio Innocase. | |||||

Ive owned a SPE holster thats close to identical to this top holster, but it was for my Blackberry Curve. I used it for over two years straight and it still works/looks great! But that one had a magnet for the retention strap/closure. Unfortunately, whereas the Blackberry needs a magnet to initiate Sleep-mode on the Blackberry, a magnet will wake up the Droid! So hence, the use of velcro for the closure on the flap for this holster, as opposed to a magnet. Thats really too bad, too, because the velcro is incredibly loud on this holster (what velcro isnt?). I believe the easiest solution would be to use less velcro - in this case, I simply used a small circle of velcro to cover a small portion, so now theres less velcro contact, but it still has plenty of hold without the loud "riiiiiiiip" of the velcro. (Im going for the all-time record of the number of times I can use the word "velcro" in one review.) Overall, another quality case from SPE. The openings on the sides of the case make it easy to grasp the Droid to remove it from the holster, and also allows access to the charging Micro-USB port and the volume buttons (when you have to silence an incoming call while holstered). Definitely two thumbs up for this case. 5 stars if they couldve used less velcro or somehow mimicked the use of a stealthy magnet closure. As a side note, I noticed the SPE case for the Droid X has a magnetic closure for the flap. I wonder if anyone is experiencing a wake-up on their Droid X when holstering? One last thing: Even without the flap closure, the top holster securely holds the Droid - sort of makes me think that if SPE were to produce a holster without the flap, it would still be quite handy/useful. Just a thought. |
