My largest complaint of the previous rugged big-daddy, the Defender, was that the amazing protection was crippled by its use of soft, thin, lint & pocket catching silicone as its outter layer. The Commuter was far too fragile, and after using both the Defender & Commuter on 4 different devices I felt it was time to give up on rugged protection. Thanks to Trident, I am finally able to be protected and fully funtional. The material used on the soft inner layer is thicker, smooth polished, and well made allowing for use by itself as a capable protection option on its own. Placing the hard plastic front of the cage onto the inner core brings ease of use (through the use of actual button inserts), and screen protection unlike what other designers are using at this time. Adding the hard, final, rear cage completes the rugged package that creates confidence and continued pocketability without catching pocket cloth or being a lint magnet. The rear cage also incorporates a standard kick-stand that is removable and capable of being used with numerous other accessories Trident offers for all Kraken AMS cases. Finally. A rugged option done right. The final benefit is that the added rear bulk makes the perceived fragile thin nature of a stock GS3 even easier to hold in day to use use! So pleased. |

| I wanted a sturdy yet functional case for my S3 and this was IT! It makes the phone much more durable and easier to handle. I especially like the buttons on top of the actual buttons on either side of the case and the dust covers. The kickstand on the back is durable and user friendly. Already watched stuff on my phone with it sitting on my desk. Thinking about getting another color already. Get this case, you wont be disappointed. | |||||

| Great case. I really like everything about it. The only issue I have is that the belt clip attaches to the front of the phone making you have to unhook it from your belt and then take the clip off of the phone before answering it. Otherwise I would purchase this case again with no doubts. | |||||
